Saving money is sometimes a lot harder than you would think it would be. It is sometimes hard to keep track of where your money is going, or to spot trends in your spending. There are a number of ways to do that, but the easiest one to date, is Mint.com
Mint.com is a website that links to your bank account and tracks your spending and saving activity. It will make a series of graphs based on the data it collects, and you enter in manually. Using Mint.com you can easily see where large chunks of your money are going every month. You can compare what you are spending on a given item to what others in the United States are spending. Sometimes seeing these trends is enough for you to change your spending habits, but sometimes you may need a little bit more.
Mint.com does that little bit more for you. You go through their page, and make a budget for everything you spend money on monthly. You break your expenses up into categories, and set an amount that you expect to spend. Once youve been on Mint.com for a while they will tell you how much you typically spend on
Clean and Green
In a world full of chemical cleaners for every part of our homes from ceiling to floor, it is easy to forget that there is another way. A way that is easier on the planet, your wallet, and your body. Being green isnt just for hippies any more, so why not try some ways to save the planet and save some money?
Cleaning in the kitchen used to be a virtual cocktail of poisonous chemicals. I used to use an all purpose cleaner for the surfaces, one more for glass surfaces and yet another cleaner for the range and oven. Now, I can use three simple ingredients to get my kitchen to sparkle. The things I need in my cleaning bucket are fresh lemons, vinegar, and baking soda.
Use a cloth soaked in undiluted distilled white vinegar to clean surfaces. The acidity in vinegar is so high, that it kills mold and germs.
Use cup baking soda, 1 tbsp of lemon juice and just enough vinegar to make a paste to scour your oven and cooking range. It will clean, scrub and give a fresh lemon scent.
Use a solution of water and vinegar to clean glass.

Tips for managing your money
With everyone trying to save their pennies during an economic downturn, its always nice to have a few more ideas on how to manage the money you have better and to stretch it just a little bit further!
There are a few good ways to keep track of the bills that you pay. One thing that you can do is pay bills on the first of the month and the fifteenth of the month. This divides the payments up and keeping them in two piles may help keep you from paying a bill late because the date crept up on you. Another good way to keep track of the bills is to place the return portion in the envelope and then write the due date in the upper left hand corner and keep the envelopes filed chronologically so that you can see when bills are coming due. Of course another good way to take care of bills is take advantage of automatic bill pay whenever you can and you also save on stamps!

Sometimes it seems that it is so hard to get from paycheck to paycheck that it is hard to even imagine saving money. There are lots of things that people can do to save money that are not that difficult and dont leave you feeling deprived after you get your paycheck.
It is not that difficult to arrange for automatic deposits of your paycheck into different accounts. Find an amount that is comfortable for you and have it automatically deposited into an account separate from your checking account. Chances are you wont miss what you dont see coming in weekly anyhow and even a small amount will add up. You can also make your savings a bill you pay and as you pay your monthly bills put aside an amount to go to your savings.
If you get reimbursed for out of pocket expenses put that in your savings account. You have already paid that amount out and it is an easy way to add a little to your savings. Another easy way to save is to not spend any of your change. As you get change
